X.O
Cocgnac with character

HENNESSY X.O
In 1865, the star coding of the House's cognacs was introduced, a major innovation that allowed consumers to determine the exact age and category of the eaux-de-vie they were purchasing. That same year, the two men developed the blending culture as it is still known today.

In 1870, cultivating their taste for older eaux-de-vie, they created a unique and original blend with a rich and complex structure. They named it Extra Old, one of the first of its kind.

At its creation, Hennessy X.O. was not intended to enter the House's history and become a cognac emblematic of its expertise. It was initially a personal creation reserved for a close circle. These two creators introduced it to their loved ones for the first time in 1870 during a luncheon at the Château de Bagnolet. It was on this occasion that the first bottle of Hennessy Extra Old Cognac was tasted.

Hennessy-xo-nose its aromas of candied fruit and its subtle, delicately spiced nose create a harmonious, rounded character.
